The skill is the skills/writing-guidelines folder inside that repository. Copy it into the folder your agent loads skills from; check your agent's documentation for where that is.

about Writing Guidelines Skill by @vercel-labs

Reviews docs and prose for compliance with the Vercel writing handbook. 80+ rules on voice, structure, and style.

80+ rules on voice, structure, and content types
Covers code sample formatting and typography rules
Includes an AI-workflow section for disclosure and review discipline

our take

Checks documentation and prose against a published writing handbook covering voice, structure and style. Like the web design skill, it is a thin wrapper that points at an external source of rules.

when to use it

You want docs reviewed for tone and clarity
A team needs consistent technical writing
You are editing a README or guide before publishing

before you install

It enforces one organisation's house style, which may not match yours
The source repository publishes no license, so we link to it rather than host a copy

source and license

Written and maintained by @vercel-labs. No license is published in that repository, so we link to the original and do not host a copy or offer a download. SkillDirectory does not claim authorship: this page adds our own review and links back to the original, and the skill's text belongs to its author.
